Day By Day Itinerary

Aberdare National Park

Located northeast of Nairobi, Kenya, the Aberdare National Park was created to protect the Aberdare Mountain Range, the peaks of which soar to 3930 metres. The landscape is characterised by steep forested slopes, expansive moors, and deep ravines scattered with cascading waterfalls, crystal-clear streams and rushing rivers. The park is inhabited by a variety of African wildlife such as: elephant, lion, spotted hyena, rhino, black leopard and the very elusive bongo antelope that lives in the high altitude bamboo forests. The park offers the perfect environment for picnics, camping in the moorlands, trout fishing in the rivers, and excellent bird watching with over 250 species of birds including hawks, eagles, sunbirds and plovers.

Day Itinerary

Pick you from your Nairobi hotel or JKI Airport upon arrival. Begin with the safari briefing for the Kenya Safaris Soon after depart to Aberdares National Park, which is a 3 hours scenic drive towards the Kenyan Highlands. There is a possibility of seeing Mt. Kenya snowy white cap while enroute.

Later arriving at the Aberdares Country Club hotel in time for lunch and enjoy the scenic environment. Afterwards take a brief nature walk within the club as you wait to be transferred to The Ark lodge in the afternoon for overnight stay.

The Ark overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick which attracts awesome wildlife including huge Elephants and Buffaloes. It has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges to provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Resting at the foothills of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountain Range, in central Kenya's Laikipia County, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa. It is also home to some of the last remaining northern white rhino in the world. Originally a working cattle ranch in colonial Kenya and now a pioneering wildlife conservancy, Ol Pejeta works to protect wildlife and provide a sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees. The Conservancy is a popular safari destination and is home to the renowned ‘Big Five’ as well as a wide selection of other African animals including zebra, giraffe, hippo, cheetah, jackal, serval, hyena, vervet monkey, and many more. Visitors can look forward to an assortment of outdoor activities such as horse rides, game walks, and nocturnal game drives.

Day Itinerary

Morning breakfast, game drive en-route depart Aberdares for Ol Pejeta Conservancy. This is an hour’s drive arriving with game drive en-route in time for lunch. Checking in at Sweet waters Luxury Tented Camp.

Incidentally, Ol Pejeta Conservancy is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of the chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. The site is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area.

After Lunch Proceed to game drive across the Sanctuary.

Overnight:Sweetwaters Serena Camp

Nakuru

Nakuru is a fascinating city on the shores of western Kenya’s Lake Nakuru. The capital of Nakuru County located in the Great Rift Valley, about ten kilometres from the massive Menengai Crater. A hiking trail leads up to the rim of this ancient caldera, offering bird’s eye views over the lake and surrounds, and then plunges 400 metres down to the floor below, where visitors can walk among ancient forests. Lake Nakuru National Park, surrounding Nakuru, is home to exceptional birdlife, as well as over 50 varieties of mammals including lion, leopard, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, rhino, antelope and various primates. History and culture enthusiasts should make sure to visit the incredible Hyrax Hill prehistoric site.

After breakfast proceed to Lake Nakuru National We arrive in time for lunch,

After lunch proceed for Game drive drive.

Lake Nakuru National Park gives you the opportunity to observe the world renowned flamingos as well search for other wildlife such as buffaloes, rhino, giraffes and baboons. The Park is world famous also as a sanctuary for both black and white rhino.

Besides that, more than 400 species of birds can be seen in the park.

Overnight:: Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge

Lake Nakuru Sopa lodge is located on a range of hills that form the western limits of Africa's great Rift valley, the Lodge offers spectacular views over the vastness of lake Nakuru and its surrounding National Park.

The park supports a wide ecological diversity with Flamingos and other water birds being the major attraction of the area. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the white and black rhino, buffaloes and others.

The Lodge is 20km from the park main gate and 15 minutes drive from Naishi airstrip. Lodge accommodation consist of 60 rooms which include 2 inter-connecting rooms, 2 rooms accessible on wheel chair. Rooms are grouped into single, twin or triple rooms. All rooms have a clear view of the lake and you are able to view the sun rise from the balcony. All rooms have safe box, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar is stocked on request and telephone extension are also provided in all rooms.

Naivasha

Located in the beautiful Kenya Rift Valley basin, Naivasha is a compact market town northwest of Nairobi, best known as a stopping point for spellbinding Lake Naivasha. Aspiring wildlife photographers and nature lovers will marvel at Lake Naivasha and its abundance of wondrous wildlife. Here visitors can spot wallowing hippo pods, clouds of vibrant birdlife, zebra and various other game. The nearby Lake Oloiden and Oserian Wildlife Sanctuary are great spots for those passionate about wild wonders. Shopping in the bustling town ensures unique souvenirs for mementoes as well as restaurants offering delicious local dishes with every taste in mind. Accommodations ranging from lodges to bed and breakfasts provide great conveniences for travellers looking to explore the area.

Day Itinerary

After breakfast leave for Lake Naivasha upon arrival at Hell’s Gate National park at around begin a 2-hour, guided bike tour: watch for herds of Thompson’s gazelle, eland, zebra, and hartebeest as you ride. Keep an eye on the sky throughout the tour, as Hell’s Gate National Park is home to more than 100 species of birds, including Verreaux’s eagles, augur buzzards, vulture, and swifts.

Have a lunch break. Continue to explore Lake Naivasha wildlife on a 2-hour boat tour ending with a walking safari on Crescent Island. Spot the hippos that linger just at the surface of the water, and see some of the diverse birdlife; African fish eagles, lesser flamingos, African spoonbill, and little grebe are all common here.

Overnight:: Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort

Naivasha is a Masai name given to the area, denoting the characteristics of the lake.

21 cottages are built in a crescent shape, and each has four rooms, totaling 80 standard rooms and Two suites. Two of these rooms are suitable for the physically challenged. Six of the 21 cottages have interconnecting rooms on the ground floor.

Rock gardens feature vibrantly coloured flowers, which give a beautiful contrast to the greenery of the wellmanicured lawns. Monkeys play on the lawns and different species of birds chip in the trees. Pathways wind between the open lawns and frangipanis, with aloes and proteas growing in abundance. The acacia trees are plentiful in this area and provide welcome shade. The stone exterior walls of the cottages are carried into the rooms. Ground-floor rooms have two queen-size beds and a sunken living room at the front, which opens out on to the beautifully manicured lawns.

Masai Mara

The Masai Mara together with Tanzania’s Serengeti form Africa’s most famous wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. The image of acacia trees dotting endless grass plains epitomises Africa for many, then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further. The undeniable highlight of the Masai Mara National Reserve is undoubtedly the annual wildebeest migration traversing the vast plains of the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. It is known as the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. Large prides of lions, herds of elephants, as well as giraffes, gazelles and eland can also be spotted in the reserve. Aside from horse riding safaris and traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential.

Day Itinerary

After early breakfast proceed to Maasai Mara. The Game Reserve offers wonderful scenery and plenty of game. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch.

After lunch you can freshen up and set off for an evening game drive through Maasai Mara National Reserve in search of big cats.

Overnight: : Zebra Plains Mara Camp

Zebra Plains Mara Camp offers charming accommodations in Talek, Kenya. Day Itinerary

After breakfast, you will leave for a full day game drives in the Masai Mara Game Reserve with your packed lunch.

You have good chances to see most of the Big Five. These include Lions, Elephants, Buffalo, Leopard and

Rhino. Have your lunch at the picnic site in the heart of Mara. After lunch you continue with your game drives.

You can have time for optional activities such as Masai village visits and nature walks in the evening (your Driver guide will organize upon request).
