Day By Day Itinerary

Soysambu Conservancy

Soysambu Conservancy, a unique and beautiful wildlife reserve, lies on the border of the Elmenteita Badlands and Lake Nakuru National Park in Kenya’s Rift Valley Province. Vast areas of the glassy lakes, beautiful wetlands, and purple mountains create scenes perfect for walking tours, game drives and self-exploration adventures, as well as some breathtaking photography opportunities. Huge flocks of pink pelicans, which breed here each year, can be seen swooping in. Animal lovers will also delight in the chance to spot colobus monkeys, Rothschild's giraffes, and about 450 bird species.

Day Itinerary

Drive through the floor of the Great Rift Valley from Nairobi, while stopping on the way for curios and to admire and marvel at the breathtaking views of the escarpment along the way.

We arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park in time for a mid-morning game drive. Have lunch then proceed for Game drive drive.

Lake Nakuru National Park gives you the opportunity to observe the world renowned flamingos as well search for other wildlife such as buffaloes, rhino, giraffes and baboons. The Park is world famous also as a sanctuary for both black and white rhino.

Besides that, more than 400 species of birds can be seen in the park.

Overnight: Mbweha Camp 

10 Rustic lava-stone cottages with thatched roofs are surrounded by euphorbia candelabra, yellow barked acacia and other indigenous trees. Mbweha Camp is only a few hours from Nairobi, yet feels right away from it all with its relaxed atmosphere. Being situated outside a National Park allows many activities, including walking, mountain biking and night game drives. Guests can also enjoy day trips into Nakuru National Park with the option of a gourmet bush lunch with spectacular views of the Lake and the National Park.

Being in the heart of Soysambu Conservancy Implies Clients are enriched in history as Soysambu is a world Heritage Site and Ramsar Site. Add on the fact that it is an important bird area, home to a great variety of flora and fauna with a set of 12,000 wildlife including 10% of the global population of the endangered colossus monkey. Both the lesser and greater flamingo frequent the near by L. Elementaita which is also a breeding ground for the great white pelican. Tourist can get of wildlife all a mere 16km away from the camp.

Day Itinerary

On this day of your Safari, you will be up early, have breakfast and then head out to the park for a full day game drive; you will go through the different corners of the park for the whole day to view the numerous animals in the park. Because it’s a whole day experience you will have a picnic lunch on the drive. The game drive will end in the late afternoon and after you will head back to your accommodation to refresh.

Day Itinerary

After breakfast leave for Lake Naivasha upon arrival at Hell’s Gate National park at around  begin a 2-hour, guided bike tour: watch for herds of Thompson’s gazelle, eland, zebra, and hartebeest as you ride. Keep an eye on the sky throughout the tour, as Hell’s Gate National Park is home to more than 100 species of birds, including Verreaux’s eagles, augur buzzards, vulture, and swifts.

Have a lunch break. Continue to explore Lake Naivasha wildlife on a 2-hour boat tour ending with a walking safari on Crescent Island. Spot the hippos that linger just at the surface of the water, and see some of the diverse birdlife; African fish eagles, lesser flamingos, African spoonbill, and little grebe are all common here.

Day Itinerary

After breakfast check out from your hotel and start your journey back to Nairobi. You will arriving late in the evening.
